Complaints that cannot be resolved in this way may, in limited circumstances, be referred to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). Those limited circumstances are where the policy is taken out by:

  • an individual
  • a business with an annual group turnover of less than Euro 2,000,000 and fewer than 10 employees
  • a charity or trust subject to confirmation from the Financial Ombudsmen Service.
